Visinema Pictures resmi meluncurkan official poster dan trailer film terbaru “Generasi 90-an: Melankolia” setelah sebelumnya merilis teaser poster dan video pada 2 Maret 2020 silam. Film ini menceritakan mengenai kisah manusia , saat menghadapi kehilangan orang terdekat. Terinspirasi dari dari tiga lagu tenar era 90-an dan awal 2000-an dan juga buku Generasi 90 an , karya Marchella FP yang juga menulis buku “Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini”.
Film yang mengangkat kisah tentang kehilangan akan sosok yang tak tergantikan dalam hidup kita ini, akan dijadwalkan tayang serentak pada 9 April 2020 di bioskop seluruh Indonesia.
Ada banyak aktor muda seperti Aghniny Haque, Jennifer Coppen, dan Wafda, serta aktor hits pada era 90-an seperti Gunawan, Marcella Zalianty,Frans Mohede, dan Amara Mohede.
“Generasi 90-an: Melankolia” diproduseri oleh Angga Sasongko dan disutradarai Irfan Ramly, sutradara muda baru yang sebelumnya sering membantu Angga menulis berbagai skenario film,
termasuk “Cahaya Dari Timur: Beta Maluku”, “Filosofi Kopi 2” dan “Surat Dari Praha”.
Sutradara Irfan Ramly mengatakan film “Generasi 90-an Melankolia” mengusung cerita tentang menghadapi kehilangan atas orang yang dikasihi, baik itu sebagai anak, saudara, kekasih, orang-
tua dan sahabat. Setiap orang pasti pernah mengalami kesedihan atau kehilangan orang yang dicintai.
“Satu-satunya cara menghadapi kehilangan adalah mengikhlaskan. Hal-hal seperti itu yang mau dibicarakan di film ini,” ujar Irfan.
Visinema Pictures kembali menggandeng aktor muda Ari Irham yang sebelumnya didapuk jadi pemeran utama film komedi “Terlalu Tampan”.
Dari sisi genre dan karakter, film terbaru ini jauh berbeda dari film “Terlalu Tampan” yang baru tayang tahun lalu. Ari menyadari betul proyek teranyar ini memang menantang.
“Aku mikirnya mau sampai kapan berada di zona nyaman, kalau tetap di situ-situ saja namanya bukan tantangan,” kata Ari yang berperan sebagai Abby.
Ari beradu akting dengan Taskya Namya, pemeran Sephia, sahabat kakak Abby yang hilang dalam kecelakaan. Skenario yang memikat membuatnya sangat tertarik untuk bergabung.
“Pas baca sinopsis, premis dan ceritanya, aku jatuh cinta banget. Film ini tentang kehilangan orang yang tak tergantikan, tapi ada tentang rasa yang menurutku dekat banget sama kehidupan
sehari-hari,” ujar Taskya.
Adik laki-laki Indah yang sangat menyayangi kakaknya. Abby merasa beruntung dan bahagia dengan apa yang dimilikinya. Di usianya yang beranjak remaja, Abby merupakan anak yang dekat sekali dengan keluarganya. Dalam hidupnya yang penuh warna dan kasih sayang, Abby dihadapi tragedi yang mengubah hidupnya sepenuhnya. Kepergian Indah membuat Abby menyalahkan dirinya atas kejadian pahit tersebut. Abby masih butuh Indah, masih butuh sosok seorang kakak.
