Kuntilanak 3 kembali hadir menemani penonton di liburan lebaran , kali ini pemain yang bermain pada film ini, selain wajah-wajah lama , juga terlihat wajah-wajah baru , sebutlah nama-nama Nicole Rossi, Andryan
Bima, Ali Fikry, Adlu Fahrezy , Ciara Nadine Brosnan, dan juga Sara Wijayanto, Nafa Urbach, Amink, Wafda Saifan.
Film Kuntilanak 3 ini sendiri menyempurnakan jajaran prekuel Box Office Indonesia Kuntilanak 1 & 2 yang tayang pada tahun 2018 & 2019 lalu.

Menunjuk pada sinopsis yang telah tersebar, Kuntilanak 3 menceritakan tentang petualangan Dinda di Sekolah Mata Hati.
Seusai pulang dari Ujung Sedo, Dinda merasa berbeda dari sebelumnya. Seakan ada kekuatan di dalam dirinya yang terlepas tiap kali amarah menguasai. Dan mungkin, Sekolah Mata Hati, dapat menjadi tempat dimana para anak berkemampuan “khusus” belajar, sehingga bisa membantunya mengendalikan diri.
Namun di sekolah tersebut, Dinda justru dipertemukan dengan Kuntilanak yang lebih kuat dan sekelompok orang yang mengetahui rahasia dan masa lalunya.
Review dari Cinemags (Nuty Laraswaty) , film ini fokusnya memang menekankan pada anak-anak yang membawa unsur horor. Segmen horor yang berbeda kali ini, akan membawa dalam pola pemikiran anak-anak yang penuh fantasi dan juga sesuatu yang familiar bagi mereka.
Banyak adegan-adegan yang dapat dianalogikan dengan beberapa cerita populer hingga film box office dari luar maupun dalam negeri. Namun menariknya adalah Rizal Mantovani selaku sutradara, tetap membawa unsur budaya lokal dari Indonesia, sebagaimana terlihat dari wardrobe para karakter yang ditampilkan dengan apik dan terkesan familiar. Unsur batik menjadi unsur yang dominan ditemukan pada pakaian anak-anak yang bersekolah di Sekolah Mata hati, adapun para pengajarnya hingga sosok Eyang , mengenakan pakaian yang langsung mengingatkan penonton akan film-film seperti Saur Sepuh yang sempat jaya pada masanya, namun bedanya terlihat unsur modern menonjol , walaupun ini mungkin sudah diupayakan untuk diminimalisir.
Kemudian untuk set, lokasi hingga permainan tata kamera pengambilan gambar, di beberapa memberikan kesan seolah berada di panggung teater namun menjangkau lebih luas , memberikan perasaan merinding dan seram tanpa upaya yang terlalu mendalam.
Konon lokasi set untuk syuting memang merupakan tempat yang telah lama ditinggalkan, suram dan banyak kejadian mala petaka disana. Ini nampaknya yang memberikan aura kegelapan dan kesuraman , yang memang dibutuhkan oleh film dengan nuansa horor untuk anak-anak ini.
Namun untuk memberikan waktu jeda bagi penonton, terlihat dialog demi dialog diberi sisipan humor sederhana, cenderung receh dan ini menarik tentunya bagi anak-anak. Humor yang diberikan tidaklah berat, hanya menyentuh meyesuaikan situasi dan adegan yang terjadi.
Walaupun begitu, akting anak-anak , mampu memberikan warna sendiri, dikarenakan secara keseluruhan mereka saling bahu membahu menunjang untuk menampilkan suasana horor dengan tampilan luwes , tanpa kesan kaku ataupun terlalu dibuat-buat.
Namun jika mereka berakting secara mandiri, terlihat masih ada kesan kaku , namun masih dapat dimaklumi dikarena adegan yang dilakukan lumayan menarik.
Secara keseluruhan, film ini fresh dari segi menonjolkan unsur budaya , mampu menghibur penonton, dengan kelebihan setting dan cg yang semakin bagus.
