Apabila tiada aral melintang film serial Run direncanakan akan tayang mulai tanggal 13 April 2020. Run adalah serial komedi HBO terbaru berdurasi setengah jam dibintangi peraih Emmy, Merritt Wever dan Phoebe Waller-Bridge, serta Domhnall Gleeson tayang eksklusif di HBO GO dan HBO, film ini ditulis dan diproduseri oleh Vicky Jones.
Film ini menarik, dengan banyak twist kejutan menarik , sehingga yang awalnya adalah sebuah komedi romantis yang berubah menjadi film thriller , dan kemudian diceritakan dalam tujuh babak.

Berlanjut seterusnya hingga episode kelima, masing-masing dengan penulis yang berbeda-beda, sehingga masing-masing memberikan kontribusi alur cerita yang penuh kejutan terutama mendekati babak akhir.
Gaya serial film dengan model alur cerita yang penuh kejutan ini juga terdapat pada serial film Spanyol ,La casa de papel atau dikenal internasional sebagai Money Heist.
Inti cerita adalah mengenai kehidupan seorang perempuan bernama Ruby Richardson (Merritt Wever) yang membosankan menjadi terbalik berlawanan saat ia menerima pesan dari pacar lamanya dahulu saat masih kuliah Billy Johnson (Domhnall Gleeson), yang mengundang dirinya untuk meninggalkan semuanya dan menemuinya di New York dengan alasan untuk menyelesaikan apa yang mereka perbuat 17 (tujuh belas) tahun yang lalu, yaitu bahwa jika salah satu dari mereka mengirimkan pesan “RUN” dan yang lainnya menjawab dengan kata yang sama, maka mereka harus meninggalkan segalanya dan pergi ke Grand Central Station untuk berkelana menjelajah Amerika bersama.
