In 1990, a manga titled Gunnm was published in the hands of the author Yukito Kishiro.
The Manga tells the story of Cyborg with a long-lost and even considered extinct technology, discovered by Ido on landfills, in the form of heads and shoulders. The brain inside the head is still alive, and he takes him home to rebuild it.
From here then the idea of the story is growing so that it makes a spin off story, as well as entering the American state with the title OVA attracted many fans of manga there.
Not as successful as the manga series was a success, visionary filmmaker James Cameron (Avatar) and Robert Rodriguez (Sin City) decided to create the manga in a widescreen film titled Alita: Battle Angel, and was scheduled to broadcast in Indonesia earlier on February 5, 2019.
James Cameron is famous for his film Avatar, while Robert Rodriguez is famous for his film Sin City, so that when both filmmakers decide to work together with the film. The results are eagerly awaited by many audiences all over the world.
James Cameron himself in his news meeting some time ago, said that the filming of Alita was a hope and dreams from the beginning, but unfortunately at that time there was no technology that was able to meet the needs of the filmmaking, so his dream had to be postponed, more with his busy working film Avatar. As the Avatar proved to be successful, it seemed to open up the opportunity to re-create his dream of making Alita’s film and then his dream to be missed, when meeting with Robert Rodriguez and actor Alita, Rosa Salazar (Maze Runner)
Indonesia is one of the supporting countries of the creative industry, with the sheer number of cinemas that specially played with the technology that supports the screening of this film, got the opportunity to play it early.
During screening screenings with the media and communities, we are welcome to watch in theaters with IMAX and 3D technology, so that the movie screening is very interesting and outstanding.
Throughout the film screenings, helpless we all witnessed the beauty of animation and CGI techniques that are beautifully poured and do not sometimes bring the feelings and emotions of the audience.
Applause was heard and very interesting was, when one of the spectators who happened to sit near me, was drifting off the storyline.
Most of the film, in part, commented on each action scene that Alita performed. Ranting when a fraudulent scene is done against Alita happens and sounds complaining sad, when scenes that touch the feeling are played on the screen.
I rarely find an audience, the age of adulthood that is until drifting so deep will be a spectacle of the Batte film Alita.
Even the community friends who dress up cosplay style though, also usually not until this one, carried away while watching a movie.
Could this be the effect of 3D?
Wow, if so…
Apparently for movie lovers, it is worth trying to watch this movie, in technology that supports IMAX and 3D
But well, first, watch this trailer
“We hope we have created a new experience for the audience, which lets you experience the sensation of the movie again. ”
Jon Landau
It seems that the hope producer of Alita, Jon Landau this time.
After watching the movie, a lot of praise flows. The storyline is ordinary and typical of teenagers, as there is a romanized scene.
But Alita’s own character is very prominent and makes her audience instantly like it.
His escape at the beginning of waking up to the moment of realizing who he was, woke up very nicely, as if reminded me of the process of building the character in the movie Avatar.
If there is a saying, eyes are the world’s windows. Then we can watch the situation in “Iron City” through his eyes.
The change of character from the innocent to the Satria, is implied beautiful and firmly also through the highlight of his eyes.
James Cameron himself looks slick featuring a picture of the cyborg life in “Iron City”, we are also experiencing entering the world of imagination, where the cybernetic body parts routinely blend into the human body and brain with all kinds of shapes, sizes, and abilities.
Even the enchantment of the city awakened among the rubble of the former wars, distinctive humor, abominations and the hubris of man, who lives in “Iron City”, is depicted sweetly.
It is certainly not separated from the touch of Cold hands Robert Rodriguez, who works all with the technology of Cameron, Lightstorm and Weta (Avatar) — the face performance capture system, the SIMULCAM system to superimposed the digital characters into actors in real-time, the 3D Fusion camera system and more.
All made an audience, especially me, entering a new world in a creative industry of cinema.
Until only one sentence I say, “Must watch”
