“J2: J RETRIBUSI” mengisahkan perjalanan Jay Zulkarnain (Zul Ariffin), seorang pengawal (bodyguard) untuk seorang pengusaha, Dato’ Hashim (Datuk Rosyam Nor) dan putrinya yang berusia sembilan tahun, Nadi (Ainin Batrisya). Suatu hari, Dato’ Hashim menghadiri sebuah acara konferensi pers untuk menandatangani perjanjian kerja sama bersama seorang pengusaha asal Tiongkok bernama Liu Kang (Eric Chen). Tak disangka, situasi berubah ketika sekelompok kriminal misterius yang dipimpin oleh Taufiq (Ashraf Sinclair) tiba-tiba menerobos masuk dan menutup rapat hotel tersebut.
Untuk menyelamatkan Dato’ Hashim dan Nadi yang tengah disandera, Jay kini harus bekerja sama dengan Chang (Chen Yiming), salah satu bodyguard Liu Kang, untuk meredam situasi sembari mencari jalan keluar dengan memanfaatkan informasi yang diberikan oleh Amy (Amelia Henderson), seorang manajer hotel yang tengah bertugas.
